An important life lesson.
Sep. 1st, 2006 09:41 amWhen you are told, repeatedly, by competent people, that they have contacted the manufacturer and determined that a defective unit is out of warranty even with the recall, because it's been just too long?
Do not trust them.
They lie.
Call the manufacturer yourself.
1 year regular warranty + 1 year extended warranty due to defect recall + Sept 2 2004 purchase date = 1 day left to get the "damn, my unit is defective, PLZ FIX NOW OK" work order started, almost six months after it initially started going bad and the previous persons responsible for it "called Sony" and learned that "it's out of warrantee, we missed the recall, they won't replace it."
In your LCD, you horrible little piece of overpriced custom hardware.
