I used to be freaked out by playing mantises (mantii?) and I still am, to a degree, but after the hyperventilation the first picture in the link induced... I love that praying mantis. Nice mantis. Niiiice mantis.

it's mantii. everything is '-ii'. I decided this not long ago; it makes it easier to work out plurals.

yes, that goes for things like sheepii and mooseii too.
