Yes. Condoms are ancient. Cheap, available condoms that are not made of sheep intestine (like any other sausage casing) are a relatively recent invention, though.
But these posters never say how the girls get these diseases in the first place. What? They were born poor, desperate and diseased? Ok, I realize I am generalizing. No doubt these diseases were lab created and designed to undermine the power structure of the side of Right. Oh wait, sorry, the sarcasm was getting way from me. Shutting up now.
WWII had condoms. They were called various crude names alluding to the offspring of mating with truck tires because they weren't exactly up to today's latex standards... but they existed.
