Another article on why the "rebuilding" of Iraq was nothing of the sort:
Personally loyally to Bush: Hired.
Competent: Fired.

I realize that I'm going to be subjected to a lot of this over the next few months, but god. I KNOW ALL THIS ALREADY, becuase I was like, alive and watching the news at the time. John Negroponte as Ambassador to Iraq? "Debaathification?" Fun no-bid contracts? HOW IS ALL THIS NEWS...

To clarify: not annoyed at you posting the article; more annoyed that it's taken three years for journalists to start, well journaling.

At this point, it's chronicling, and we have history writers for that. We needed those journalists to be identifying what was going on when it happened, not being lazy and accepting what the White House and Pentagon spokespeople were telling them. Sigh. What use is the info now? Bush is in power for another three years.

Only if the outrage means that the elections either don't get faked (since it's pointless to fake a blowaway eleciton, that will ruin your advantage in the next CLOSE election) or they do and the American people get off their asses and do something about it. At that point, you've got impeachment and either jail or Republican support meltdown as Bush pardons Cheney et al, is impeached, and then Cheney pardons Bush.
