Fox News' core audience in a nutshell: claiming that the Lebanese were MAKING UP the bombing they were receiving from Israel, and that all the buildings were collapsing due to poor construction.
That's not exactly what was said but the sentiment was equally bad. I mean, come on! Whether the building was blown up or knocked over due to concussive force doesn't change the fact that it was an Isreali bomb that caused it.
"Following that reasoning, wouldn't you think that it is Arab, uh... they have made up... a lot of stories. I don't think Israel is really bombing Lebanon, I think it's faulty construction that's causing these buildings to fall."
Sorry, dude, I really can't read that in any way but "I think the Lebanese are inventing a fictional bombing by Israel but it's really their own incompetence at fault and they're just blaming the Jews."
I think what he is saying contextually is that the Iraelis aren't targetting the buildings but the persons in the area and their buildings are getting knocked over as a side effect.
I would have thought Fox News' core audience would be more inclined along the lines of "There's nothing wrong with targeting civilian populations, blowing up buildings, etc. The dirty ragheads deserve it; they're all terra-ists anyway."
