Former California judge gets 27 months in prison for possession of child pornography.

The kicker: He was caught because somebody broke into his PC, found the images, and reported him to the police.

I'm not sure how I feel about that. When the police break into your stuff without cause and find evidence of a crime, it's inadmissable because you have a right to privacy - but when someone who *isn't* a cop breaks in to your computer or your house or you car, in the process of committing a crime themselves, and then calls the cops, it's okay? This does not seem to me like a good rule.

Of course, if it had been murder instead of possession of child porn, and the hacker had been a burglar who found a body, I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. Hmm.

Fucked up News: Two clowns shot, killed onstage during circus performance.

Really fucked up news: This isn't the first time that's happened the last year, in this city.
