Microsoft rushed out a critical patch yesterday, and didn't test it well enough with some hardware configurations. As in, common hardware configurations. Like one of the more popular integrated onboard sound card setups.
If you're running XP SP2 and the Realtek HD Audio Control panel, and you applied yesterday's critical web surfing vulnerability patch, you may receive this message on reboot:

I bring you this PSA because I love you all, and because my mother and one of my friends have already called me up about this message worrying that it's a virus or their system is going to explode or something.

Rthdcpl.exe - Illegal System DLL RelocationDon't panic.
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\Windows\System32\Hhctrl.ocx occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
