If the coyote can open the bottle, he deserves the drink.

Is that the coyote in chicago?

If you click on either image, you reach an ABC news article that explains that yes, yes this is the coyote in the Quiznos.

Right. from the main page there was originally no link. But I did eventually notice that there is a sun-times stamp on one image

I'm just dismayed that a coyote would stoop to Quiznos food...

(Heh, sorry, I was less than enthralled with their offerings when I tried them.)

I think he looks so pissed because he went looking for food and only got Quiznos.

(More expensive than the competition, lower quality, and have the most annoying advertising in human history? Oh, sure, I'll definitely eat there. All the time.)

The local Quiznos is superior to any Subway in the area... maybe we're just lucky here.

A few Quizno's stock their fountain drinks with Diet Dew, my caffinated beverage of choice. Other than that, while generally better than Subway, they're still overpriced...

the 2nd photo is the most serene of the bunch. Thanks for the link to the videos!

Now how many furries rushed in to get the drinks the Coyote sat on?

Y'know, there's a slender chance I've been in that particular Quiznos to pick up a bottle of juice, two years ago. Weird. (And it really is massively downtown, like right in the core of the city.)

-- Steve's wondering how that poor animal got so far into the city.

Just to highlight how far downtown this is:

Map shot.

Satellite shot, zoomed in somewhat.

-- Steve's agog. There's a lot of people between that spot and the nearest forest.

That doesn't matter in the slightest. Coyotes can live in the sewer, a park, a cistern, etc. etc. etc.

They are extremely adaptable. If you have more time for Google mapping, consider Ohio. Every one of Ohio's 88 counties has a coyote population. This is usually not surprising, but in Franklin, Cuyahoga, and a few others, it's quite notable.
