I think he looks so pissed because he went looking for food and only got Quiznos.
(More expensive than the competition, lower quality, and have the most annoying advertising in human history? Oh, sure, I'll definitely eat there. All the time.)
A few Quizno's stock their fountain drinks with Diet Dew, my caffinated beverage of choice. Other than that, while generally better than Subway, they're still overpriced...
Y'know, there's a slender chance I've been in that particular Quiznos to pick up a bottle of juice, two years ago. Weird. (And it really is massively downtown, like right in the core of the city.)
-- Steve's wondering how that poor animal got so far into the city.
That doesn't matter in the slightest. Coyotes can live in the sewer, a park, a cistern, etc. etc. etc.
They are extremely adaptable. If you have more time for Google mapping, consider Ohio. Every one of Ohio's 88 counties has a coyote population. This is usually not surprising, but in Franklin, Cuyahoga, and a few others, it's quite notable.

Satellite shot, zoomed in somewhat.
-- Steve's agog. There's a lot of people between that spot and the nearest forest.
