Your useful tech tip of the day.

browser.tabs.animate
set to FALSE.
That is all.
(While I'm at it, anyone got a line on a simple, non-cluttered, plain-coloured, FF4-compatible skin or "persona"? My "make it look like FF2" one hasn't been converted to 4. And the default FF4 look is ugly.)
EDIT: In fact, I specifically want a way to make Firefox 4 looks like this:

Hard lines between toolbars. Tabs in a bar of their own. Each tab has a clear delimitation between it and the next tab, with a visible line between the non-active tabs and the tab contents. The beige-ish colour is a plus. Oh, and The Funniest Comic Ever is a bonus.
(Beware, when following that link, that it is one of the ONLY work-safe things on that website. And the splash warning "are you sure you want to go here?" site is marginal.)
