I want a copy. I would play the heck out of this with the roving anklebiters.

Aug. 20th, 2012 12:18 pmRemember how I said Reaper Minis was doing Kickstarter right? With 5 days left, they've got 5500 backers and more than a million dollars. Yes, that means the average pledge is about two hundred. For bonus points, 4789 of those 5510 backers are at the $100 level.
For that $100, you getabout 150 183 and counting miniatures. And then you unlock the ability to get more (and carrying cases, and paints, and, and, and...) for a small additional fee. And each milestone adds more freebies and a new option for a small additional pledge. And all pledge levels and milestones and all the rest are modular.
This is Kickstarter *CRACK*, with every new milestone gives you something new and cool just for being there, and also the option of something ELSE new and cool for just a leeeeeeetle more.
Seriously, this is very well done. It manipulates the Kickstarter model perfectly and also appears to be a damn good deal if you like painting teeny little things.

(This is about Weird Tales deciding NOT to publish excerpts of the monumentally racist "Save The White People" book. It's sad they've decided to memory-hole the original announcement, and comments, and the ringing endorsement they received from Stormfront, though.)
EDIT: Oh hai, screenshots of at least the comment thread.
