Yeah it is a rat temple. They give them sweet milk and then drink the milk with the rats. I watched as some people did this. It is crazy. But I love rats and think they are cute, but SURE as hell won't drink the milk they have pooped in. The bowl that I saw the rats were just about finished with so they had started walking through it to get to the other side and in that process... the pooped. LOTS of little pills shaped pooplets floating in the milk. AND they still put it to their lips.
And yet, despite drinking the poopy milk, none of the priests or worshippers there have ever contracted any of the diseases that rats typically carry. Certainly lends credance to the idea that the temple's rats are blessed.
