I remember watching a whole series of videos hosted by this guy in AP Psych back in high school. So, being a mildly sadistic bastard himself, does this strengthen or weaken the point that he's trying to make?

He's not a mildly sadistic bastard. His point is just about anyone would do the same thing in the same situation.
