I have seen the future.
And it doesn't make sense.

Watch on YouTube
It's a potato salad commercial, but who cares? Watch the women!

I've known some people who went from gymnastics as kids to yoga as adults who can bend like that.
I'm also impressed at how strong they must be - lifting one's entire body weight using nothing but one's calf muscles has got to be tough.

Whoa, I'm glad I watched it until the end, that was one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen.

Seriously, those spines are baffling.

Oh, Hi. Saw this on a mutual friend's "Friends Page".
Would like to track your journal, if you don't mind.

Are you sure it's a commercial? It's awful long. Looks more like some random number out of a REALLY weird 50s era musical.
That bit where she goes down into a split with her head on her back leg? That made me hurt just seeing it.

Given the gymnastics and the outfits, I half suspect it's a much more modern production made to *look* older through music and costuming.
But what I really know about it is what the YouTube guy who posted it says.

I think you're likely right about that.
