Sadly, you're right. More like than not it will get shouted down as partisan politics.

I'm just hopeful that they cause enough of a kafuffle that he can't get re-elected in a year. :/

He's not even in the running for President. It would be political suicide to select him as a running mate. Dick Cheney has the lowest approval rating in history - at one point just 6% - and once Bush's term is over, he's done in active public office.

At least, so we hope.
