No panic yet.

For the record, y'all, I'm not going to be making any attempt to keep up with the interwebs for the next week. I might see things, I might not, if you think it's critical for my attention then toss me a link in a comment.

Anyone I know in the area of Victoria, BC who wants to hook up for dinner or something in the next week? Drop me a line, we'll figure it out. No, sorry, Seattle people, as much as I'd love to see you, if you want to meet up you have to come north. I'm not going south - too many hassles, too little time.

See you all on the far side.

I think this is the point in time where the collective oddities males are required to inform you that we could get you to mexico by dawn.

However, were we not obliged to tell you, I'd not bother, because I'm quite pleased for you. So have a hell of a time. And should you ever move to America and find that the goveronment here doesn't acknowledge your strange Canadian wedding, I'll gladly perform one. It'll bring my numbers up.

Remember, when they ask you want to marry this chick, the proper response is "Fuckin' Aye!"

I'm not sure it carries the same meaning in canada. Isn't that like the equivalent of just saying "Fuckin". Maybe "Fuckin right" although a classic Team America "Fuck Yeah" might work.

We might say "Fuckin' A", but that's normally more approbation and less agreement.

The big faaaancy hotel right downtown (whose name is escaping me at the moment -- the one that used to be the train station, not far from the Royal BC Museum -- does a proper High Tea at 4pm on the weekends, possibly weekdays at well. I believe it's 75$ a head, but if you have the pennies, it's supposedly Not To Be Missed.

Hope you're spending some time in Vancouver too, but hey, that's me, and I'm totally biased. *grin*

Eversohappy for the both of you. I hope it is a glorious time in Victoria. :)

That's the Empress. The High Tea there is the same as the High Tea at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa - unsurprising, since they're the same hotel model, built by the same rail company in the same style, and both currently owned and operated by Fairmont.
