I wish I didn't have to see it on my friends page.

Sorry. Adblock it - Right click, adblock image, OK, and poof, it disappears, even though it's not an ad.

Boy, this person is going to feel silly when she or he is 45.

Why? Last time I checked, when you get older you don't miraculously have completely different tastes to those you have when you're young. And you *can* take piercings out, y'know.

Well, I'm 47, and yeah, you're right, tastes don't miraculously change. But they do change gradually, and I suspect some things that might feel right when you're a teenager won't mean the same thing thirty years later.

But hey, I don't know who this individual is and how they'll feel about anything in their life thirty minutes or thirty years from now.

I'm not sure that a split tongue is going to magically repair itself, though.

...every time I hear that sentiment, I wonder why the person expressing it is so sure the person they're expressing it about is going to live to see the age in question, and feel a faint desire to go look up statistics on car crashes.

It's weird, I know.

That's a tongue.

If that's a photoshop, it's definitely well-done. If that's a real body mod, well... yeah.

I strongly suspect that the tongue fork is real, the zipper is photoshopped on.

Tongue forking always looks weird. This photoshop job just makes it even odder. Neat! Thanks!

I would be pretty peeved if my tongue zipper busted like that.

Hi. I followed links from [livejournal.com profile] andrewducker's journal and found this. A little Google image searching revealed that the tongue is really split and belongs to a guy named Zak Zito, who is a professional body piercer from Maryland. The image comes from a Spanish-language (at least, I assume it's Spanish) magazine named Piel, and can be seen here (http://www.pielmag.com/index.php?sec=3&cat=85&subcat=957&page=1) along with many other pics of split tongues. And yes, the zipper has been photoshopped in, though I haven't been able to find out by whom.

On further thought, I'm not sure whether that's Zak's tongue, or if he did the splitting. He has a stud under his lip and no little diamonds, so I suspect the latter.
