Any bets on driver fatigue being a contributing factor? I mean, ignoring all those flashing lights and audible warnings (not to mention what must've been a hellacious racket from scraping aluminum) is obtuse even for Texans.

-- Steve's seen similar oopsies at a particularly notorious underpass here in London, but those are usually leased trailers driven by move-it-yerselfers.

I can't tell where this is located, the buildings are not unique enough to me. Probably one of the midtown tunnels or underpass before the tunnel (Lincoln, Mid-Town, Holland). There used to be HUGE I-beams in front of the Holland Tunnel to protect it from oversized trucks ("13 feet, WE MEAN IT!") but they were removed (wimps!).

Welcome to Manhattan, watch your head ("thud!")

Clicking the picture takes you to the story, which tells you that the guy ran the entire length of the Lincoln Tunnel - all 2.1km of it.
