The longer I look at it, though, the more it appeals. It seems ...sweet, somehow. With overtones of the flag-wavingly naive.
(And practically speaking, it's a lot less extravagant than oh, say, a pyramid. Less of a subtle make-do feel than the Bone Church of Kostnice, though.)
