This is just unconscionable. I don't know what to do about this but I have to figure out some constructive way of responding to the erosion of civil rights and humane, sane policies on our government's part. Voting doesn't seem to be sufficient.
He goes to the FBI and the US embassy, and he tells them he thinks weapons are being distributed to insurgents.
And he (in a prolonged fit of courage that I frankly boggle at) continues to work at the place he thinks is distributing the guns so he can keep passing on information.
And he is informed he is about to be kidnapped, barricades himself inside the building, and is rescued by the American military.
Who take his statement and throw him in jail (without legal counsel, with occasional pleasant bouts of no sleep, with threats, but without physical violence) for possibly distributing weapons to insurgents.
Said military then confirms with the FBI that he was an informant, and that he has been attempting to make sure people know about the possibly weapon distribution.
At which point, they keep him in jail for another two months.
...I would like an explanation, please. M----f----, even without rights, shouldn't there be some kind of *reason?*
