True story: as a college freshman one of the civics/US History classes I attended had us whip up FOIA's to get information on OURSELVES.
Given that most of us were 18 or 19, no one expected a lot of documentation. Least of all me. But, when I received it from a few agencies, there were a lot of redacted pages.
Seems I didn't realize the kind of security clearance my dad had when he was in military intelligence (Defense Communications Planning Group) during Vietnam. Apparently, my birth was logged on several of his files, and those were redacted to show pretty much just my name.
My professor got quite a howl out of it, but as a conspiracist he started postulating that I was born secretly out of an Area 51 project.
Given how things turned out, maybe he was on to something. ;-)
Damn, those FOIA's can be entertaining.

...who's contemplating using your link to get more info on my dad, but the last I knew some of the crap he did/was exposed to was still classified. Go figure.
