Dec. 2nd, 2004 12:56 pmCanada win the battle of Toledo.
The Canadian government, unhappy for many years with Washington's belligerent foreign policy and fearful of its massive weapons stockpiles, decided last year to invade the U.S., seizing oil refineries and manufacturing plants, and establishing "regime change" to the delight of many of its neighbors to the south.

Date: 2004-12-02 10:05 am (UTC)Oh gods, take us, please!!
Mike Ferner ran for mayor here a couple years ago. He looked to have a good chance of winning the office, with a terrific plan for muni power and several reforms aimed at improving the schools, until the other guy pulled out the "Religion and Family Values" card.
See, Mr. Ferner is an atheist.
It was shameful, the way he got dragged through the mud for not being christian. And as for family values...well, the guy who won showed up on inauguration day with his pregnant, unwed daughter. I guess as long as you've got ghod on your side...
I wish Ferner would run again. The current mayor is horrible and has bankrupted the city. We really wouldn't be upset if y'all took over.
