From the BBC today:
By the time the Skycar goes into production - probably in about six years time - it will be capable of climbing 6,000ft a minute and travelling at up to 400 miles an hour.

From the SEC, four and a half years ago:
As of late 2002, MI's approximately 40 years' of development has resulted in a prototype Skycar capable of hovering about fifteen feet above the ground.

The really important part of the SEC case, of course, is that the makers of the "skycar" are frauds, aiming to bilk the credulous out of their cash. This has been known for years.

And yet, the BBC don't know it.
