Look, demanding that you show your receipt after the checkout is insipid, but this is completely ridiculous.

For consideration: Do you think that maybe hiring "security guards", for minimum wage, out of the pool of people who really really want to be cops but keep failing the psych tests, might not be a good practice?

As far as i can see, you also might want to hire guards with enough people skills to know the difference between "Pardon me ma'am, we have a missing child, and we are checking with everyone in the store with a baby to make sure they have their own child. Would you mind waiting with us a few minutes while we sort this out, it would really help us out, the mom is REALLY freaking out, and were trying to make sure everyoens ids are safe here." vs "Hey, GIVE ME YOUR BABY!!! YOU STOLE IT!!!!!"

They might have gotten the baby away from me eventually, but it would have meant at least 3 permanently disabled guards, followed by attempted kidnapping charges, assault charges, and a lawsuit that would put their securty company out of busisness.
