Who wants to bet it's the whole "pinning her down by putting his knee in her back" part that injured and eventually killed her? Wouldn't be the first time someone got killed like that. Yay for untrained rentacops and dangerous restraint techniques. And why on earth would you leave hancuffs on someone who's in a holding cell?
And why on earth would you leave hancuffs on someone who's in a holding cell?
Because she's screaming and fighting. Letting her out of the cuffs would be work, and staying in the room to watch her would involve staying in the room with the screaming woman.
Yeah- cuffed AND SHACKLED and she somehow strangled herself trying to get the cuffs from behind her back? The more articles I see on this one- the more suspicious I get...
Frankly- I wondered how long it would be before these stupid "Airport Security measures" claimed the first life. (Or IS this the First?)
"I hope that when the SHTF after the autopsy, there is a reaction strong enough to make somebody in DC see sense."
See what sense? That they can say"she was acting oddly in an airport" and use it to get MORE security? and that all these officers are going to get out of this is some overtime?
Yes- I suppose they would twist it that way... I was hoping for the sense of "LOOK- this isn't doing diddly SH*T except frustrating people into finding other sources of transportation, making the airlines file bankruptcy and go out of business, degrading society in general- and NOT making anything more secure."
Hmmm ... so what, she pulled the cuffs over her back and own shoulders ... thereby popping both shoulders? Now that's determination.
I mean the other, more logical way of getting them from behind her back would be by going over the legs ... and well, your throat isn't anywhere near your legs.
I'm sticking with my broken rib / punctured lung (via the pinning) theory.
Not to mention that it would have to be a position that keeps the cuffs tightly pressed over the windpipe even when unconscious. You can't just strangle yourself, you pass out before you die and your hands relax. That's why people use nooses.
I can't believe I've been trying to figure this out, but...
Is it possible she tried to get the cuffs in front of her by going behind her legs, fell over, and couldn't get up? I think "positional asphyxia" might be something that ends up getting called strangulation by some clueless soul somewhere along the line.
