Warner Brothers announces new policy: No more female leads, ever.

While not confirmed through an official release of any sort yet, the source I link claims independent confirmation from three different WB producers.

If someone at Warner's really said that, they have their heads where the sun don't shine.

The Jodie Foster flick simply wasn't original. Any of a number of Charles Bronson and Chuck Norris movies had essentially the same plot, as did Eastwood's The Outlaw Josey Wales. It's a revenge movie...

And since those movies made money and Clint Eastwood's won oscars for his movies, the problem must obviously be Jodie Foster's lack of a penis.

I've never even heard of either of those movies.

Maybe because I rarely see any WB production, and trailers tend to get attached to movies from the same studio.

And that because most WB movies suck.

The best part was the outraged lawyer who very carefully responded to hearsay while keeping her entire reply completely in the hypothetical. The maximum amount of scandal for the minimum of actual information, all packaged in a neatly non-slanderous whole.
