It's just backward, upside down English.

Hi everybody! Glad to see that one of my morning photosets became a kind of interest and art for you ;)

This device is a kind of special unit for making holes (D = 5mm) and installing special aluminium rings in it. Here are several pictures to show the examples where such devices can be used:

- http://oltex-design.narod.ru/acesorize/gluvp.jpg
- http://constellation-gifts.narod.ru/381/22889b.jpg

Hope it will help a little to understand the picture better ;) Soon I'm going to buy another new device - it will provide the oval holes, not the round ones.

What I don't understand is the rivet(grommet/eyelet/snap?) setter.

I thought it was a hole punch, personally. I just like the picture.

As I understand it, having inherited one of these (not nearly so shiny as that one) is that the centre of it can be used for marking and making an indentation, whereas the bit on the side is a hole punch, for fabric.

The embroidery is amazing, so that makes a lot of sense if it's used for framing up a canvas or something similar.

I have to admit I don't know much about the embroidery, I just recognise the tool, having one that I grabbed from home knowing it'd be useful for making/adjusting LARP kit.
