You know, this makes it sound much worse than it is. They're really just trying to distance the old sesame street from education, and move it closer to entertainment because they're outdated.

Cookie monster used to eat tons of cookies at a time, now he's allowed one cookie per show, little things like that.

Well, most of it is a reflection of the changing times, but some of it just would fly in the face of what is acceptable to parents now.

The opening episode has Sally, a young girl, go with an older male stranger to his house and accepts milk and cookies from him.
