Republican hopeful and member of a white supremacist cult Mitt Romney claims that he's obviously not a racist like his cult teaches him to be, because his father marched with Martin Luther King.

Except, of course, he didn't. Not at all. Romney's lying through his teeth.

UPDATE: ROMNEY CAMPAIGN SAYS “TOGETHER” MAY MEAN DIFFERENT CITIES, DIFFERENT DAYS

A spokesperson for Mitt Romney now tells the Phoenix that George W. Romney and Martin Luther King Jr. marched together in June, 1963 -- although possibly not on the same day or in the same city.

Oh, I get it. So by that definition, I can go march right now and I'll be marching with MLK!

Let's all march with MLK!

(I wonder why Mitt just didn't say HEmarched with MLK if they're gonna define "marching with" that loosely)

I can *kind* of see "marching in the same kind of marches to the same end purpose" as "marching with", if you really stretch it to the breaking point, but, really, you HAVE to know that that's a twisted statement that is going to be misunderstood, making it a very bad thign to say on campaign.

And, really, he said he saw his father marching with King. The "clarification" is "Gee, Mitt was lying. Our bad."
