It was a friendship that could inspire a Disney movie. Oscar the dog and his best friend, Arthur the cat, were inseparable in life.

So, when 17-year-old moggy Arthur died, Oscar was left inconsolable. Their owners, Robert and Mavis Bell, buried Arthur in the garden.

But Oscar's love for his friend would not die – and during the night, he pulled the cat from his grave, carried him inside, laid him in the basket they used to share and gently cleaned him up.

Hell, it's still a bit creepy. Can you imagine waking up and shuffling downstairs pre-morning-coffee, only to see the kitty that DIED and you BURIED lying there in its little bed?

...it's wrong to laugh at that, I'm sure. But I can't help it.

I think anyone who's read Pet Sematary can imagine that with no problem.

I'd have a dead dog, a dead cat, and a house on the market (just to be sure) within ten minutes. :)

...I'd watch a Disney movie of that. I think it's very sweet.

I heard about it on the radio while driving to work this morning and had to have a stern word with myself because I wanted to pull over and have a good blub! (Blame it on my hormones...)
I'm just glad that the dog's owners have got him another kitteh pal.

It's touching. Creepy. Touchingly creepy.

Can't imagine it was a pleasant surprise for the owners to find their disinterred kitty in the house, though.
