It's not the only example of that, either. There are ones that infect slugs, not only causing their antennae to become all shiny and attractive to birds, but also rewiring those tiny slug brains so the creature moves towards light and the ends of plants where they are more likely to be spotted.

I've seen a couple of examples of parasites that cause their hosts to climb grass stems and wait to be eaten.

It would explain certain kinds of extreme sports.
