I was a bit too young for it, but they had it on Nick & Nite, and I agree - it was absolutely a brilliant show. On the one hand, Carrell is absolutely the right man for the part, but I also know deep in my heart that TV remakes into movies always get screwed up.

The other amusing thing - I notice he's "Dwayne Johnson" and not "The Rock" anymore.

Sorry, but Dark Knight, the new Bond film, and the new Indiana Jones movie take precedence over anything else this year for me.

I'd forgotten about Dark Knight. The new Jones is this year? And there's a new Bond?

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is May 22nd, Dark Knight is July 18th, and the new Bond (called Quantum of Solace) is November 7th.

The original show had a reason, too: Maxwell Smart had a *100%* success rate. He never, ever, ever failed a mission, despite his best efforts.

I can't click the link, but I saw the preview in the theater, and the entire audience was convulsed with laughter.

The thing is, the actual schtick wasn't anything you haven't seen a million times in physical comedy, but something about Steve Carell's sternly befuddled expression just makes everything he does hysterical.

I'm definitely on board for this one.
