They sell those at the pet store, called Dino Bonez or something silly like that. They come in sizes from big (like that) to ginormous. I don't have dogs so I didn't really pay all that much attention to them, though.

Puppy SCOOOOORES!
The Dino Bone (if that's what it is) is safer than a real bone, though it would be more fun for the puppy if that had been a turkey drumstick.
Cats of course prefer Kitty Chow or the canned stuff (and maybe a mouse now and then) to bones.
