This is one of the best visual/verbal analogies I have seen in a while. Respect.

I beg to differ--kittens are cute.

No argument about that. But the "clinging on pants insistently, and does not even know how to retract claws yet to uncling" part is dead-on.

Clearly you've never used a dangling shoelace to convince a kitten to climb a friend.

It's adorably hilarious.

Hmmm. My cat seems to have outgrown clinging, and just walks up to me and bites me on the leg when she's bored. And then sits down and looks at me expectantly.

I have yet to figure out what she's trying to communicate, beyond "I'm bored. Entertain me!"

No, but I have accepted that Satan in the form of a cat will occasionally hump my knee.

Oddly enough, the JoHos left me voicemail yesterday asking me to join them in a service to mark the death of their Saviour. I doubt their committment to their faith; they're just phoning it in now.

-- Steve was tempted to reply something snarky akin to "it's silly scheduling it on Easter weekend", but realised that involved further contact with them. And then broke out an alcohol swab.
