Naw, the dog is merely your average family dog who doesn't really want to hurt anyone, but thinks this strange creature from outside his pack is going a bit far by yanking his tail.

The monkey, on the other hand, is playing up to an audience. In the original, you can hear the people filming this laughing all the way through this clip. The monkey is enjoying the attention, in much in the same way that dumb kid in school enjoys making a fool of himself to get the attention of the class, hence all that show-off swinging around the line.

The moral of this story? Animals who hang around humans do weird things.
