Because this is an EXTREEEEME sport! And that one valkarie totally is about to run into the pole. She'll be happy for her protective clothing then!

Oh man.... I seriously want to know the story behind the bridge one. I just stared at it for several seconds going
"WUT???" It makes me dizzy just looking at it.

Am I the only one completely horrified at the though of someone riding down a bumpy, cylindrical bridge cable, hundreds of feet in the air, with no life-line whatsoever?

To me, even the *thought* of that is utterly shudderific.

Surely that one is photoshopped. There is traffic on the bridge.

It's definitely fake. Taking the angle of the shot into account, the guy's center of gravity clearly isn't over the cable. Plus I have the feeling I would have heard about someone trying to unicycle down the Golden Gate Bridge (and falling to his death) in the news.

Also? The bridge = FISH EYE LENS.
The cyclist = NORMAL LENS.

What kind of camera does fish-eye except for one specific foreground object that overlaps several otherwise fish-eye'd background objects?

If you said "one with a copy of photoshop software", you win a prize!

That's what makes it EXTREME!

(Note that everything in the picture *except* the cyclist is taken from a fisheye lens. The cyclist is not distorted - his photo was taken with a normal lens.)

Can you imagine how annoyed the guys who Paint that bridge would be? Tire tracks all over their nice Golden Gate paint job?

Heh. my favorite part about the Bridge shot is that there's roughly...20(?) bunkers and gun emplacements in the background and you can't see a one.
