I don't think the judge can punish the girl, since she is not on trial. However, I think it is entirely realistic to charge the PARENTS with something. Perhaps contributing to the delinquency of a minor, or negligence of some kind. Especially if they knew she was going out for sex, or posting online for the purposes of getting some.

I think the court could possibly suggest therapy of some kind since she has been the victim of a crime (or in fact several now).

Although I think the parents really should be charged with something, I don't think that putting them in jail is going to help the situation. So I'm ambivalent.

This story is just all kinds of fail. *sad sigh*
