ACK! My f-list...I think it's broken... I have to scroll over to see everything... and I do mean EVERYTHING.. I think this pic might be the culprit. Any chance of re-sizing or maybe using a cut? Pretty please?

It's only 1024 wide, but that's wider than I usually post. I've cut it.

Thank you, that seems to have fixed it.

What's your screen resolution set to?

Actually, it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with screen res -- it may be simply that she has her window size set to somewhere around 800 or so pixels wide? I know mine often are.

Running a browser window at less than a full screen wide is just weird.

Yeah- and I always maximize that window, whatever machine I"m working on.

Noooo way. I hate full screen! I don’t get it at all. Why would I want lines to take up the entire width of a big display? Long lines are harder to read. Columns are used in newspapers for a reason.

Changing lines every six words is jarring and slow. My eyes follow left-right much faster and more smoothly than up-down.

Besides, the bigger the window is, the more there is on it. And there's a second screen for other stuff that you want besides your browser.

I guess our eyes work differently. Every six lines is clearly an exaggeration. For me, the bigger the window is, either the more blank space there is at the edges or the more I get lost following the lines.

Well, whatever works for you. But don’t assume everyone browses that way.

Really? I often do it if, say, I have stuff in the background going on that I need to keep an eye on -- long builds, or an install, or whatever. I keep it at about half screen-size then, and that's about 800 pixels, actually!

That's what the second monitor is for.

I'm not sure, I'll have to check when I get home. The work machine (which I can look at, but can't change, they have all but crippled these machines...)
is set to 1152 x 864 ...
OK- that's weird, it should be able to handle it, right?
