I read about that yesterday. I wonder if Choppy McGee realizes that he threw a left foot into the mix by accident last time, or if it was done with some sort of intent.

Either way, this is right fucked up.

Actually, the people investigating have said that all the feet detached due to decomposition, and were not severed.

"authorities are trying to decide the origin of the feet".

um. they were on a human. now they are not. if they've been hacked off, it's not from the fucking Tsunami from several years ago.

some one has watched "Saw" one two many times that's what happened.

They've explicitly not been hacked off; they're saying there's been no sign of the bone being severed.

misread then. i must have seen "signs of bones being hacked off".

lazy undertaker? old cemetary being washed away?
victims of an unfortunate car crash just now being discovered?

You can never rule out moose involvement.

Sounds like they're in need of "a hand" getting "a head" on this case.

I think you're reading too much into this. I mean, all of their evidence is six feet under.

Y'know, some guy tested his computer model of ocean currents by tracking Nikes that washed off a container ship. Since they knew the exact time and location of the container loss it was pretty easy to do.

If we assume that:

  • Bodies decompose/suffer predation at a standard rate;
  • Modern footwear is mostly buoyant;
  • Footwear will drift in wind and current differently depending upon which foot is (still partially) in it; and
  • All of the footsies that washed up on VI were right ones:

  • One should be able to apply the current model and pinpoint the approximate time and location of the marine/aviation incident that killed at least six people, folks who have never been recovered.

    I personally suspect there's a mafia hitman somewhere going "Oh, holy fuck, they're supposed to STAY GONE when you dump them in the ocean with weights on! Fuck!"

    Entirely plausible' definitely more entertaining.

    Still, one should still be able to model the currents and backtrack to roughly the dumping/disaster site. If you're right, they might find the rest of the weighted bodies (or what's left of them).
