I like how the author unblinkingly swallows the entire conspiracy theory, takes a swipe at evolution in passing, and then settles in to his real subject. That's a special kind of talent right there.
Perhaps intelligent life from other worlds will not contact us as a whole because of these very bozos... Can't say as I blame 'em. One quick skim of the 700 Club, and the conclusion that Earthers need to be quarrantined is pretty much foregone.
Fundamentalists (any kind) simply assume that [pick your sacred book] is forever true, and anything/anyone that offers proof otherwise is spawned by Satan (or some other evil person), and is therefore false.
Dunno about space aliens existing or not, but if a real flying saucer landed at Bob Jones University and a LGM came out to talk to Bob Jones, that would simply be a Satanic temptation.
Aaaaaah! The bald assertion of the existence of aliens being made public knowledge after a 60 year cover up, this being made public knowledge having escaped me entirely notwithstanding, is making me question my faith in the invisible great big guy in the sky!
