I think his work now is worse. He's like Eddie Murphy. he went from doing cutting edge work to being Doctor Doolittle. He might be cashing a check, but I couldn't possibly care less about his bank account. I'm interested in whether I want to see anything he does. NWA was good stuff. Now he can't even buy a doctor dre album without getting laughed at. I have more street cred than ice Cube.

Bah. Are we saying that good artistic work needs to be non-offensive? You need not like rap to understand that it's a giant musical movement (like it or not) and without NWA it would be a very different genre.
But the artistic relevance aside, no matter how brainless you assume being a rapper is, what he's doing now is actually a negative in the brain cell department. he might as well have been in King's Ransom or Bloodrayne.
I think good artistic work isn't usually actively stupid, and anything Easy-E touched turned to pure dumb in a *right* royal hurry.
He's still collecting a big paycheque from morons. He's just not telling them they're *right* to be morons any more, and he's doing something that presumably makes him happy since he still does it.
I'd say that stupid is subjective there. I think what he's doing now is vastly more stupid.
And easy E may not be worth much, but Dr Dre is worth quite a bit, and without NWA there would be no Dre (and no eminem, which may be good or bad YMMV).
