Also, in the scenario presented, he's trying to hold off police with a firearm. If he jumps into his car and shuts the door, he loses much of his ability to shoot at oncoming police officers. They, in turn, do not lose their ability to fire eight hundred and six bullets through the windows of his car.
Are you sure that's a dog-training suit? Normally they tend to have helmets and throat guards given a dogs natural tendencies, and I didn't see either one.
Not for me, I can hit a moving target with a crooked shotgun...i'm like a surgeon with firearms...all else fails a swift punch to the teeth ought to shatter the police doggies skull before it hits you...
Uh, yeah, my first reaction was, "Oh, hey, police dog. Neat." And then I watched it again and thought, "Wait, did it just clear the entire goddamned car in a single bound? 0_o "
