And "François" is a name - the French equivalent to "Frank". Français is the language, and also the possessive form - "belonging to France or the French". In fact, the use of "Français" as the name of the language is, itself, colloquial (or was several centuries ago) - the correct term would, at one point, have been "la langue Français" - "The language of the French"
