The ad is for Greyhound Canada. Note the maple leaf at bottom right.

Exactly. He was perfectly calm. The epitome of a sociopath.

So far the worse thing I've faced on a bus is weirdos feeling the need to talk to me. What a senseless waste. If you feel the need to stab and decapitate someone, practice it on yourself. (Not you, of course...I'm refering to any psychos who happen to read this).

#1: Canada doesn't HAVE an anti-gun attitude. We have more guns than the USA.

#2: Bullshit. The attack came out of nowhere, and surprised everyone. Guns or no guns, the victim was a dead man by the time *anyone* had a chance to react. A gun doesn't let you see the future.

To your first point, I was referring to Canada as an institution rather than a population and didn't say that we don't have guns here. We are expected to register them, however, citizens are to display them secured and visible if wearing them on their person, and if so should know that a police officer is likely to stop them and ask them why they are walking about with a gun. In general, Canada is anti-gun.

But you are welcome to whatever viewpoint you have on this.

To your second point, I don't understand why you're empassioned enough to use an expletive, but alright. You speak as though you were there. Do you have information that has not been presented as to the severity of the first two blows? If so, please share.

Of course a gun doesn't let one see the future. That would be a very strange form of divination indeed. Artillomancy perhaps? ... Hm!

"and if so should know that a police officer is likely to stop them and ask them why they are walking about with a gun."

That is, if a person is in a city. Towns seem to have a more lax attitude toward this.

Btw: that ad campaign was swiftly retired following the murder, recognizing that it was "no longer appropriate".

Indeed.
