EDIT: I've already filed a DMCA takedown notice on it. I've also notified the AP, with numerous examples, of their own copyright being infringed by the douchebag in question.

I once had a plagarist try to SELL ME an article I'D WRITTEN, with maybe 3 sentences changed in the lead and conclusion!!! Which was not just lazy but stupid.

While reworking old articles that I had written for Google Answers to put up at Knol, I found a shit ton of people had swiped my credit repair articles and put them up on ad farms.

Someone swiped my chocolate resource guide, too. A CHOCOLATIER! Who shall remain nameless, since they responded to the takedown notice with both alacrity and an apology. They said their web guy told them that he wrote it. I believe them, they're very small and know a lot about chocolate, but not a lot about the intert00bz.

Never communicate with a spammer. Never try to reason with a thief. Always and exclusively go directly to their ISP, unless they are their own ISP.

And I'm quite aware of how the DMCA and web hosting work. It is, in part, what I do.

No, hey, no offense intended. I appreciate the advice, I really do, and there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with passing along how to do a whois lookup and track an internet asshole.

I just already knew how to do it. Please, don't let that stop you from contributing, because there's never a way to know what you've caught that I've missed.

PS: I know there's no original content on that site. I also pulled up some cases where he'd sawn off the attributions and bylines of AP stories, and sent them with links and screenshots to the AP's lawyers, too.
