It'd be a great thing for a hardware/software hacker, accomplished or budding. I don't have time for the hobby, but I know someone who might put it to good use if the price is right. What kind of pricetag do you have in mind?
Maybe five years ago, when I was in college, the art school had about 8 old Apple computers, assorted types. I convinced them to donate them to a local children's museum where they let the munchkins take them apart and put them back together (after removing the dangerous stuff).
So, if you can't find someone to take it, you might be able to gift it to a place where it will keep on givin' :)
This is one of those stories my parents tell which I don't believe isn't it? Like how everything cost 6 pence ha'penny and everyone left their doors unlocked... :P
