Only if it's in its original packaging.

Nope! This one's been used. It was live and in progress and in business.

Yeah, absolutely. There is no way I'm letting him dump that.

If I had space where I live, I'd probably have made an offer.

Grr, stupid apartment. :|

It'd be a great thing for a hardware/software hacker, accomplished or budding. I don't have time for the hobby, but I know someone who might put it to good use if the price is right. What kind of pricetag do you have in mind?

Absolutely none.

But he's not using it - he's got it in the corner of one of the exam rooms and *I* hadn't seen it in a decade, let alone him actually using it.

Meaning, I have no clue on a pricetag. I don't think even *he* knew what it was.

I will ask the bf. The Apple II was the first computer his family had so he might be interested for nostalgia.

Maybe five years ago, when I was in college, the art school had about 8 old Apple computers, assorted types. I convinced them to donate them to a local children's museum where they let the munchkins take them apart and put them back together (after removing the dangerous stuff).

So, if you can't find someone to take it, you might be able to gift it to a place where it will keep on givin' :)

I too think a museum would be a great home for the machine, especially if it is still in working order.

Want me to call a squad to have it safely disposed of? They come with their own Haz Mat suits!

Oh, be fair. Apple software didn't get *that* lousy until the late 90s!

This is one of those stories my parents tell which I don't believe isn't it? Like how everything cost 6 pence ha'penny and everyone left their doors unlocked... :P
