That moment right there? The climax of a nearly three hour movie.

No, really.

.... wow. That is, down to the individual terms used, exactly the plot of "S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow Of Chernobyl".

I didn't know the game was based on a movie.

I've decided I hate the video game. It's buggy, repetitive, and boring as hell.

Extremely cool concept, very interesting mechanics, piss-poor execution. I just got so tired of jogging slooooooowly through the same areas over and over again killing the same enemies over and over again while unable to carry much of anything in terms of loot so I had to make LOTS of trips to the store.

yea I liked it, but I found the same thing. Did you get the fan mod? It fixed a lot of the issues.

As for stuff the only time I ever had to go back was when I'd finished missions. Or I'd leave caches of RPG's and other things around when I had way to much on me.

On a book, actually. Strugatsky Brothers' "Roadside Picnic." Both the movie and the game were based on it, I believe.

And both rather loosely. Especially the game.

Alas, I got it wrong - that's the set up near the start to a similar scene at the end.

I like the pause, as though he's thinking, 'Do I want to know why it's moving, or do I just want to a drink?'
