Rarely have I been doubfounded with politics, as growing up in the DC area, it's like football for us, and we know as well as any that anything can go. But for McCain to sit back and think "If I have an accident and can't be president come March, who would I want to fill my shoes?" and then come up with Palin... well, it still blows my mind.

I just hope that Hillary has the good sense to get up at some point and directly say, "Excuse me, everyone, but I've been a major part of the political scene for decades now. Are you seriously saying that you're going to go vote for some woman who's been governor for two years, who disagrees with me on every issue, who has only showed up to add some youth to McCain's campaign, and you're voting for her for the same reasons that you voted for me? Are you seriously equating her with me?!"

Seriously, I think this move is going to backfire hilariously with the old-school feminists. No matter what people think about Clinton, there's no denying that she's a serious, experienced politician, who happens to be female.

THIS chick is an experienced female, who happens to be a politician.

They're not asking the Americans to vote her for Second-From-The-Top Woman, they're asking them to vote her for Second-From-The-Top Politician. Voting for her because she's a woman is about as bad* as NOT voting for her because she's a woman.

* It's patronising, it's like "letting" her win, and its basically saying that because she's a woman, she can't possibly win on her own merits.**

** Unfortunately she couldn't possibly win on her own merits, but that's got nothing to do with her gender and everything to do with her being a n00b. Check again in a decade or two and see if she's survived politics yet.

Step 2: Get some of those people who do the really *good* celebrity fakes, and set them to work on those pictures.

Step 3: Distribute widely without comment or claim.

She's a public figure, after all. She has to be ready to accept that a certain level of defamation is inevitable.
