Quite a few, really, including twisting some prophecies from Jewish myth. Mithras just happens to be the famous god with the 'same birthday'.

I believe Bacchus also shares that birthday.

Mithras just happens to be, specifically, the God who is ritually murdered, stays dead for several days, then returns to life.

He's Angry Jesus. Hell, read the Chronicles Of Narnia - Aslan the war-god is a *perfect* representation of Mithras. Not so much Christ, but what can you expect from an Anglican?

Mithras was the one *popular in the area where they added that myth to Jesus*.

Egypt isn't exactly on the other side of the map in relation to Bethlehem, is it?

The resurrection wasn't part of the original myth.

Again, Mithras ain't exactly unique in that category. I'm not saying that you're wrong, I'm just saying that Jesus was stolen from quite a few myths, not just Mithras.

...I never thought of that. Heheh. Without the bull-slaying, mind.

Personally I prefer the incredibly arrogant Mithras the 4th generation Ventrue. But hey.

Sarah Palin (and half the speakers at the RNC) said that Obama's time as a community organizer doesn't count for anything at all, because it doesn't come with "real responsibilities".

They also laughed whenever the words "community organizer" were spoken.

I seriously had no idea wanting to change the world for the better was a joke.

A remarkable corrupt small-town mayor who created 22 million in new debt, at that!
