They try to appeal to the worst in humanity - bigotry hate and fear. That alone should disqualify them from office that they try to encourage such in the communities they want to lead

Unfortunately, that's the Cons for you. Some of the people in their party think women should be back in the kitchen, too.

Since AB tends to vote exclusively for the Cons, I'm not sure that will have a lot of impact. I mean, it'd be awesome if it does, I'm just not sure.

And then, "Sorry, my comments don't reflect my opinions."

Now, which should scare you more, coming out of a politician?

"Dirty foreign brown people scare me."
Or
"I pretended that dirty foreign brown people scare me so you'd vote for me."

Now, personally, I think that he's actually a racist bastard, and not just coddling to the racist bastard vote, but holy shit is the alternative really any better?

( "I said it by mistake" is not a valid answer. It's actually an alternative way of saying "Dirty foreign brown people scare me." You don't say that shit by mistake. )

Alberta really is Texas North. It's even small and really defensive about it, just like Texas!

Texas is small. Texas is really defensive about it.

Alberta is small (the size of Texas, about 1/3 the size of Quebec). They emulate Texas whenever possible. As such, they are defensive about their smallness.

Unfortunately, saying that sort of thing in Alberta does not make one lose.
